Hola Red Tide! Get ready for an exciting cultural and linguistic adventure! Our very own Red Tide member, Berenice Darwich, a Spanish professor at BMCC with a PhD in Hispanic Linguistics (we’re in good hands!), is generously leading us on a trip to El Museo del Barrio and nearby gardens! This museum is a vibrant treasure trove dedicated to the rich tapestry of Latino culture in the Americas, spanning from ancient times to today. We'll be visiting on Sunday, May 4 to explore its amazing collections.
But that's not all! After our museum visit, we'll be heading to dinner at Conmigo Restaurant, where Berenice will lead us in a fun mini-lesson with helpful beginner Spanish phrases. It's the perfect opportunity to learn some new words and enjoy a delicious Spanish meal with your Red Tide teammates.
